Job description

Objective / Purpose of the Job
The Ocean Freight Specialist is responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of Oceanfreight shipments, ensuring timely and efficient movement of goods. This role involves communication with clients, carriers, and other logistics teams to ensure compliance with regulations and customer requirements.
Key Activities / Accountabilities
Your key responsibilities will include without being limited to:
• Coordinate and manage Oceanfreight shipments from origin to destination.
• Prepare and process all necessary documentation for Oceanfreight shipments, including bills of lading, shipping manifests, and customs declarations.
• Communicate with clients to understand their shipping needs and provide updates on shipment status.
• Liaise with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and other logistics providers to ensure timely and efficient movement of goods.
• Monitor and track shipments, addressing any issues or delays promptly.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including customs and security requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, costs, and other relevant data.
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing any inquiries or concerns from clients.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of logistics activities.
• Assist in resolving any discrepancies or issues related to Oceanfreight operations.

• Healthcare Activities:
o Act as a contact of competence for health care customers.
o Ensure that all transport operations are conducted in line with WHO TRS 957 and EU GDP Guidelines (2013/C 343/01).

Applicant's profile

Educational and / or Training Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills
REQUIREMENTS:
• Completed training in freight forwarding and logistics service or comparable qualification
• Initial knowledge of transportation and forwarding, ideally in the Sea freight.
• Proficient use of MS Office is part of your daily routine
• Strong team spirit, flexibility, and commitment
• Accurately and conscientiously working style
• Fluent German and English skills verbal and written
