Job Title: Route Monitoring Analyst
Department: Transportation / Traffic Control Room
Location: Bogotá, Colombia
Reports To: Transport Coordinator or National Transport Manager
Job Purpose:
The Route Monitoring Analyst is responsible for real-time tracking and control of all vehicles in transit across the country. This role ensures on-time deliveries, operational safety, and compliance with established transportation protocols. The analyst must promptly identify route deviations, delays, or risks, and coordinate corrective actions with drivers, transport coordinators, and security teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor vehicles in real time through GPS and fleet management platforms.
Track route performance, delivery times, and compliance with scheduled itineraries.
Detect and report route deviations, unauthorized stops, and potential risk situations.
Communicate directly with drivers and transport coordinators to ensure adherence to operational plans.
Activate contingency protocols in case of theft, accidents, or route incidents, following company security procedures.
Record and update route status, alerts, and incidents in the control system.
Prepare daily and weekly reports on route performance, incidents, and compliance KPIs.
Coordinate with security, customer service, and operations teams to guarantee safe and efficient logistics execution.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to route monitoring and transport safety.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Education: Technical or professional degree in Logistics, Transportation Management, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in vehicle monitoring, transport control, or logistics operations.
Technical Skills:
Experience using GPS tracking and fleet management software (e.g., Satelital, Enlace, Satrack, or similar).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Basic knowledge of transport regulations and safety procedures.
Languages: Intermediate English level (preferred).
Soft Skills: Attention to detail, decision-making under pressure, effective communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Availability: Willingness to work in rotating shifts (day/night/weekend) within the national traffic control room.
Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Route compliance rate (% of deliveries on time).
Response time to alerts and incidents.
Number of unreported route deviations.
Compliance with communication and reporting protocols.
