Job description
• Track and trace, prepping inbound & outbound shipments for import/export
• Documentation checking making sure all in order for operational movements and clearance
• Generating relevant documentation such as booking confirmations, delivery orders etc.
• Managing communications with Carriers, Hauliers, Customers, Geodis Offices, Customs
• KPI Management and Reporting
• Spot Quotations and pricing for Customers and Geodis sister offices
• Customer Billing and management of supplier invoicing with accounts dept.
• Maintaining excellent communication with all involved parties via telephone, email, face to face
• General administrative duties within Department, keeping all filing and documentation up to date
• Reporting, generating and delivering analysis for specific customer reports
• Covering colleagues during times of need (will be cross trained on customers and imports/ exports)
• You may be required to carry out any other reasonable duties within your capabilities should the needs of the company require it
Applicant's profile
• 2 Years experience in Operational background (specific experience in Ocean Freight desirable but not essential)
• Excellent Communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail skills
Ocean Operator responsible for coordinating inbound & outbound shipments. Liaising with multiple parties to give quality customer service and operational excellence.
• Self-motivated and ability to use initiative
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office packages
• Team Player
• Employees will be required to be flexible with regards to working arrangements to cover busy periods.
