Global Account Manager Data Center Logistics H/F

Description de la mission

As a key contributor to the development of the Data Center Logistics (DCL) segment at Geodis, you will own and shape the end-to-end solution and value proposition for Data Center customers. Your mission is to establish Geodis as a credible and competitive logistics partner in the DCL market, drive profitable new business, and manage selected strategic DCL accounts across Geodis' Lines of Business.
This role combines solution ownership, strategic business development, and account management, requiring strong coordination across regions, countries, and Lines of Business in a matrix environment.
Responsibilities
1. DCL Solution & Value Proposition Ownership
• Own and continuously develop the Data Center Logistics solution portfolio and value proposition across Geodis' Lines of Business (Air, Sea, Road, Customs, Contract Logistics).
• Translate Data Center customer requirements (critical equipment, time-critical moves, security, liability, sustainability, scalability) into competitive, differentiated logistics solutions.
• Act as the internal reference point for DCL, ensuring alignment between global strategy and country-level execution.
2. Business Development & Market Penetration
• Proactively pursue new business opportunities in the Data Center Logistics market, with a focus on assigned Tier 1 / Global Accounts.
• Identify and qualify target DCL customers, projects, and hyperscaler / colocation opportunities in close coordination with regions and countries.
• Lead complex, multi-country and multi-LOB tenders (RFQs/RFPs/RFIs) for DCL opportunities.
3. Strategic Account Management (DCL Accounts)
• Act as Account Manager for selected Data Center Logistics customers, with end-to-end responsibility for growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
• Build and maintain senior-level relationships with customer decision-makers.
• Develop and execute Strategic Account Plans aligned with customer roadmaps and Geodis' growth ambitions.

4. Internal & External Point of Contact
• Serve as the main point of contact for DCL topics, both internally (regions, countries, Lines of Business, solution teams) and externally (customers, partners).
• Coordinate virtual, cross-functional teams to deliver integrated DCL solutions.
• Ensure effective handover to operational teams while maintaining commercial oversight.
5. Performance Management & Governance
• Monitor commercial performance, including revenue, margins, and accounts receivable for DCL accounts.
• Ensure commercial discipline in areas such as payment terms, liability exposure, and contractual commitments.
• Contribute to management reporting with clear pipeline visibility, opportunity tracking, and market insights.
6. Innovation, CSR & Continuous Improvement
• Integrate sustainability and CSR considerations into DCL solutions and customer proposals.
• Capture market feedback and lessons learned to continuously improve Geodis' DCL offering and positioning.

Profil du candidat

1. Industry & Market Expertise
• Strong understanding of Data Center, High-Tech, or mission-critical logistics environments.
• Solid knowledge of end-to-end logistics solutions, including Freight Forwarding, Contract Logistics and Overland transportation.
2. Commercial & Business Development Skills
• Proven track record in new business development and complex solution selling.
• Experience managing RFQs for multi-country, multi-service logistics solutions.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen, with focus on profitable growth.
3. Leadership & Stakeholder Management
• Experience leading virtual, cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
• Ability to influence without direct authority across regions and Lines of Business.
• Comfortable engaging with senior customer stakeholders.

4. Personal Attributes
• Entrepreneurial mindset with strong ownership and accountability.
• Structured, solution-oriented, and resilient in complex environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
5. Languages
• Fluent in English (mandatory).
• Additional languages are a plus.
6. Education & Experience
• University degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in Business Development, Global Account Management, or similar roles within logistics or high-tech environments.
