Job description
The purpose of this job is the end-to-end project management of proposals for global tenders received from the global account managers, Geodis Supply Chain Solutions and the network.
To develop and optimize innovative proposals in order to support reaching customer satisfaction and safeguard + increase sales revenue.
Tenders (primary responsibility)
Collect and review rates for both global tenders, based on the specific Request For Quotation and in close cooperation with relevant stakeholders, to deliver a correct, timely and value adding response to the customers' request based on the agreed Tender Management process.
• Contribute to the development of global tender policies, process and procedures, in line with the company strategy and execute in order to increase the amount of tenders and the tender hit rate.
• Administer and maintain the tender automation systems, to contribute to the effective processing and competitiveness of tenders.
• Gather, consolidate and review pricing data
• Manage the correct submission of requested information by the prospect
Monitor timelines and manage realization of the tender process within deadlines
Follow Global Sales Process and monitor compliance to it
Define and determine individual objectives related to the project and steer on the realization of set objectives
Business Development Strategy
Contribute to the creation of the Business Development strategy from Tender Management
Provide support with the translation of the strategy into a strategic plan for Tender Management
Business Support Services Strategy
Contribute to the development and execution of the Business Support Services strategy, in cooperation with the team manager and in line with market needs, to support direction and SMART objectives to the organization
Identify and report optimization possibilities in approach, processes and policies
Translate the Business Support Services approach into specific project plans
Understand, contribute to and communicate the Business Support Services approach
Applicant's profile
Academic working and thinking level
Project Management experience on multi-functional projects
International business experience / awareness especially covering Business Development /Operations and IT within freight forwarding
Knowledge of the sector and relevant developments in it
High level of knowledge on Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
Knowledge of tender management
Knowledge of value added and supply chain solutions
Needs preferably 3-5 years of experience in tender management in logistics industry (transport)
Fluent in the English language
