Job description

- Handle complex tenders comprising all transportation modes by capturing customer requirements, create customer solution and prepare customized proposals
- Lead regional projects from RFIs to RFQs and contract award incl. leading internal meetings as well as managing project documentation by following the commercial policy
- Lead the tender process in the region by proactive communication and collaboration with product and pricing managers [Air, Ocean, Rail, Customs]
- Analyse volume data and providing analytical support for pricing and revenue overview
- Ensure high quality of proposals by transforming the standardized internally used files into respective customer documents
- Optimize the tender at every stage of the process
- Contribute to the continuous improvement program of the global and regional tender process and the automated tender tool
- Train country tender teams regularly

Applicant's profile

- Bachelor's degree or above in logistics / business development or equivalent discipline
- 5+ years' experience with managing / leading tenders in the freight forwarding industry, knowledge of the Eastern European market is a plus
- Deep knowledge of project management principles
- Practical knowledge within logistics/SCM and process optimization is preferable
- Knowledge of LEAN principles is helpful
- Fluent in the English and German language both written and verbally
- Ability to see the bigger picture as well as the details
- Expertise in comprehending and analysing business processes
- Advanced knowledge of the MS Office suite (e. g. Excel, Sharepoint, Teams, PowerPoint etc.)
