Job description
1. Annual Plan and Budget: Develop and implement branch plan and budget as well as manage realization, based on national operations strategy and national business strategy, in order to give direction to the branch organization and contribute to the national profitability.
• Translate national business needs and operational performance improvement opportunities and incorporate these into the branch annual plan, aligned with National Operations Strategy and Plan and Budget
• Translate the branch plan into SMART objectives for direct reports
2. Freight Services: Ensure the execution of all freight services within the branch and provide advice to direct reports, optimize and manage consistency, in line with GEODIS policies, processes and procedures, industry requirements and customer contracts, in order to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Implement Global and Regional policies, processes and procedures, monitor compliance and ensure alignment with local policies and legislation
• Manage the development of CSOP's with new business and manage the implementation in cooperation with BD and IT
• Identify optimization opportunities within the branch and manage realization in cooperation with the Business Excellence department
• Ensure the execution of the Customs Brokerage process
• Ensure correct and timely input to invoice and billing process
• Monitor compliance on e-services
3. Business Excellence: Contribute to the identification of best practices within branch and implement, in line with national business and branch strategy, in order to further develop the branch and provide our customers with first-class freight management solutions.
• Identify best practices and analyse feasibility of implementation within other departments/teams
• Monitor compliance to Business Excellence policies, processes and procedures on Branch level
4. Account Management: Develop and maintain customer relationships with assigned customers, in line with SLA and customer needs, to enhance client portfolio, safeguard sales revenue and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Function as first line of contact and cooperate with OPS and IT departments within Geodis to ensure optimal customer service. Document actions taken in CRM
• Monitor performance Geodis on specific contracts: Monitor reports, identify shipment exceptions, rectify potential service failures, ensure complaints handling
• Proactively contact and meet customers to identify and prevent issues. Identify cross selling opportunities and develop and present additional suitable profitable business solutions
5. Management Information: Gather, consolidate, analyze and report management information on branch level.
6. Leadership: Steer, develop and motivate direct reports, in line with the global HR policies, individual and company's objectives, to ensure the necessary quality and quantity of staffing for current and future needs.
• Ensure compliance to HR policies within Branch organization.
Applicant's profile
The ideal candidate will have a background of previous business and networking skills in the CTN market. Growing the CTN P&L is a focus area.
The ideal candidate will have experience in running successful P&L's
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading teams for at least 5 years.
The ideal candidate will have an informed perspective on global and national topics such as Macro economic trends, Finance skills.
Negotiation skills, freight forwarding skills in order to close new business and maximise opportunities will be key.
