Are you looking for an exciting internship in the dynamic world of Freight Forwarding? GEODIS is looking for a motivated Business Intelligence Analyst Trainee at the Global Airfreight head office at Schiphol, the Netherlands.

GEODIS Freight Forwarding is part of GEODIS, a Supply Chain Operator ranking among the top companies in its field in Europe and the World. How can you support us?

We are blessed with a lot of different sources of data from various internal and external sources. The value of data is hugely depending on its reliability and on how we use it. You will be analyzing the data, improving the quality, and creating the knots that ties it all together. How can you combine historical shipment information, market indexes and internal forecasts together to help us making better business decisions? GEODIS is an exciting and innovative company, but good decisions must be backed up with accurate data and you will be working directly with our Airfreight leaders across the company to support them in steering the business. Who says that data is boring? One day you may be analyzing the fuel consumption of our own GEODIS Airbus A330 cargo airplane while it just touches down on the runway next to your office window. The next day we may ask you to stay a bit longer in the office to join a late call with the IT team in the USA on setting up a new dashboard that shows the success rate of our tenders.

• Drilling down into our Net Achieved Rates (NAR), making sure that they correct, finding solutions there were they are not correct (e.g. RCOM rates) and making sure that output to Independent Market Data resources, like TAC, WACD etc is all correct
• Combining data from NAR, airline reports, available capacity, TAC update, sold rates and present them in a way that we can use it for pricing decisions
• Prepare trade lane reports that show average density and combine it with market data (e.g. Seabury) to provide guidance on trade lane level what kind of cargo we need to target and where to find this cargo
