Job description

Position Summary
The role is to enable growth by understanding & analyzing customer's supply chain needs and designing implementable solutions to enhance the performance of supply chain.
Working with Geodis SCO business solutions team, reporting to the above said position is expected to bring analytical & consultative skills needed to approach warehousing and Flow management projects from 4PL business view point. Thus solutions provided will play strategic role in the performance of customers supply chain.

Job Scope
Advisory Projects (Existing & New customers)

1. Support business development team in positioning our offer and selling our solution
2. Understand and Analyze customer's supply chain with a holistic view of supply chain
3. Identify potential areas of improvement and design implementable optimum solutions
4. AS-IS supply chain scenario mapping to TO-BE scenario design for further evaluation
5. Selection of logistics and supply chain model defining clear quantitative & qualitative benefits

Flow Management Projects
1. Managing Bid and Solution Design for new opportunities identified which are 4PL in nature
2. Understanding of customer RFQ / RFI requirements
3. Provide inputs to help strategize our approach to bid new business
4. Solution design in co-ordination with multiple functions
5. Cost modeling and PnL generation
6. Proposal preparation with clear explanation of Geodis solution to customer

Project Implementation
1. Time to time position shall be asked to implement / support implementation of key projects which are Advisory in nature
2. Liaise with all the project stake holders & customers to ensure project deliverables are achieved
3. Use of project management methodology defined by Geodis to manage the projects

Knowledge Acumen
1. Spreadsheet skills (very high rating) is a must
2. Industry practices, Supply chain concepts, Technology in APAC market
3. Business challenges & Govt regulations across APAC is a plus
4. Knowledge share with team

Key Responsibilities

1. Own and lead the overall project from beginning till the closure
2. Work closely with all stake holders such as Business Development team & Implementation team in the process of solution design
3. At least 3 to 5 work years in Business Solutions area
4. Coordinate with other divisions (FF, CES, CL) of Geodis wherever is needed
5. Building the supply chain solution and guarantying pertinence of the provided technical study
6. Ensuring the presentation of technical aspects of the offers and the value enhancing of proposed solutions (in cooperation with sales)
7. Design & make proposal to client (existing / new) and / or sales team
8. Facilitate pricing/P&L with Finance/Procurement
9. Utilize the Procurement Support for Procurement/Supply management Opportunities
10. Support Business Development in pre-sales activity (Customer facing, Expert, Consulting, showcase)

Applicant's profile

• Knowledge on various supply chain functions including Warehouse, Distribution and International Freight process
• Demonstrable experience within a solution design or network planning role with a thorough understanding of warehouse operations
• Knowledge on various type of data and recognize relationship between various process functions
• Strong data crunching and analytical skills
• Capacity to estimate functional IT needs linked to the proposed solution
• Team player influencing and sharing learning with colleagues in BU, the division and the Group
• Self-starter and excellent organization skills to be able to handle multiple activities
• Candidate must possess strong communication skills to be able to foster cross-functional activities
• Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively with different levels of customer organization (Ground operations to Executive level)
• Commercial awareness
• Proficiency in English language (Mandarin / Cantonese is a plus)
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
• Knowledge on MS Visio, MS Project, AutoCAD is a plus but not must
