Job description
The Accounting Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of accounting, bookkeeping, and financial tasks. This role ensures timely and accurate processing of financial transactions, assists with month-end closing, and supports compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in accordance with company policies.
Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
Prepare, review, and analyze financial reports and statements.
Support audit activities and ensure documentation is accurate and complete.
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding financial data.
Identify and resolve discrepancies in accounting records.
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations (e.g., IFRS, local GAAP).
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
Participate in process improvement initiatives within the finance function.
Applicant's profile
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency with accounting software (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
