Description de la mission

Geodis is deploying an audacious strategic plan "Ambition 2023", of which organic growth through sales development is one of the keys dimensions. To concur to this objective, we are recruiting for the Corporate HQ teams a RETAIL Global Account Manager, based in Europe. Reporting to the Vice President Vertical Market RETAIL, your missions will be the following:

1. To build and implement a strategic plan for the global accounts in your portfolio to develop new profitable businesses and maintain the activity across all geographies. You'll be able to build and develop Geodis awareness and trust in the client's organization, leading to the identification at early stages of opportunities and the ability to be recognized as an advisor and partner
2. In terms of business development, you'll mobilize and lead “virtual teams” across the businesses to demonstrate the Geodis capabilities to the clients, build proposal answering to tenders, facilitating the negotiations thanks to your deep client's understanding and intimacy (Note that price setting and negotiations margins are controlled by the business units accountable for their P&L).
3. On a day to day basis, you'll monitor clients' satisfaction, alert the Operations if necessary and make sure that successful remediation plans are put in place. This is especially true for new business during the implementation phase. You work very closely with the Operational Global Accounts Managers (OGAMs)
4. With your VP Vertical Market and the team, you contribute to the development of the Vertical market strategy, the identification of best practices, the identification of business opportunities leading to the development of new services. Thought leadership is strongly encouraged.
5. On an administrative standpoint, you monitor accounts receivables, alert the business unit and foster good payment behaviors of our clients. You continuously update the CRM, you report proactively significant events to your manager and internal stakeholders

Profil du candidat

Educated to University level preferably with a background in International business (MBA, Business school with International experience and Logistics/Transportation) - Intellectual curiosity / Openness.
Confirmed experience of at minimum 5 years in a similar position (National Key Account Manager, Regional Key Account Manager, Business Development Manager, Sales Director) including the construction of multi-service in an international environment. Demonstrated experience of interactions with C-suite executives in international companies. Understanding of the strategic challenges of the RETAIL industry and ability to bring added value to our clients is a must.
