Job description

• To deploy and monitor Hub Operations processes, policies and procedures in order to ensure the consistency, efficiency and quality of internal and external customer experiences.
• Adapts actions plans timely and decisively in view of the strategic direction
• To manage the hub Operations budget in line with Value Based Management principles in order to create value to the business and shareholders from the Operations organization
• To establish a customer-focused culture by implementing and managing initiatives and tools that aim to achieve customer satisfaction, loyalty and retention.
• To ensure that the hub Operations staff meet and exceed the Health & Safety and Environment regulations and to be recognised as a pro-active force for good in every community in which we operate, supporting society as a good corporate citizen and neighbour.
• To contribute to the effective rollout of Business Unit/GNO projects, through contribution of professional expertise and leadership.

Applicant's profile

• Degree holder educated, preferably in Logistics or related disciplines.
• Three to five years' people management experience, preferably gained from an Operations role
• Preferably possess a valid Dangerous Goods Awareness Certificate
• Five years' experience in an operations environment such as depot/warehouse/hub/sorting centre/gateway etc.
• Experience in a multinational company.
• Good knowledge of Operations processes and related technology.
• Proven track record of continuous improvement.
• Proven experience and knowledge in effective training, coaching and people management practices, including leadership development.
