Job description
The Sales Performance Manager is responsible for steering, monitoring, and improving commercial performance across all regions and countries of the Freight Forwarding Line of Business. The role ensures structured sales performance governance, consistent KPI tracking, and disciplined execution of commercial action plans in line with GEODIS Freight Forwarding budget, strategic plan and roadmap.
The position works in close coordination with GEODIS Group Corporate Sales Performance, in strong partnership with the Freight Forwarding Regional Sales Directors for Europe, APAC, Americas, and France, and supports executive management by providing performance transparency, actionable insights, and hands-on performance improvement support.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Performance Steering
• Monitor and analyze Business Development performance of GEODIS Freight Forwarding across regions and countries, including Revenue, Gross Profit, volumes, pipeline, hit rate, and key customer acquisitions
• Track performance versus monthly commercial budget, forecast, and strategic targets, identifying deviations, risks, opportunities, and underlying performance drivers
• Prepare and consolidate global and regional FF commercial performance dashboards and reports
• Ensure alignment of Freight Forwarding performance steering with GEODIS Group Corporate Sales Policies standards, methodologies, and KPIs
Executive & Weekly Reporting
• Produce and deliver Monthly (Business Reviews) executive reporting on commercial pipeline, GP, Volume and key customer acquisitions
• Report on a weekly basis, to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) – Freight Forwarding Line of Business,a weekly consolidated executive short summary of GEODIS Freight Forwarding commercial performance, providing a synthetic, decision-oriented view of overall results, regional highlights, key variances versus objectives, risks, and opportunities
• Provide clear, concise, and actionable insights to support executive decision-making
• Support the CCO with ad hoc analyses, deep-dives, and executive presentations as required
Sales Performance Governance
• Support the definition, deployment, and maintenance of standardized global Salesforce KPIs in coordination with GEODIS Corporate Sales Performance
• Assist the FF CCO in driving regular commercial performance reviews with Freight Forwarding Regional Sales Directors (Europe, APAC, Americas, France) and/or Country Sales organizations
• Ensure consistency, accuracy, and reliability of commercial data across Salesforce, reporting, and performance management tools
Action Plans & Performance Improvement
• Work closely with Regional Sales Directors and Country Sales Managers to define corrective commercial action plans
• Accompany and support the Chief Commercial Officer – Freight Forwarding LoB in the design, deployment, and steering of corrective action plans for countries performing below their commercial object
Applicant's profile
• Master's degree in business administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• 5–8+ years of experience in sales performance management, commercial controlling, or business performance roles
• Strong experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain is required
• Proven experience in an international, multi-country, matrix organization
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable commercial insights
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and BI tools; strong Salesforce experience required
• Excellent communication and synthesis skills
• Fluent in English
