Job description

• Plan/define and timely review work procedures/tools to ensure compliance with freight forwarding regulations/rules and pursue constant increasing performance and efficiency
• Closely monitor work process and team performance towards maintaining quality standards and meeting customer demands
• Establish and maintain good relationship with customers, oversea agents and response to quotations/inquiries on a professional manner
• Vendor/supplier review and performance evaluation towards maximum performance and cost saving.
• Support business development with new product development, solution optimization and timely pre-sales support such as pricing/quotation or tender support.
• Collaboration with internal parties for team work in terms of assignments and projects, maintain good relationship with overseas network
• Timely preparation of work report/analysist and raise to management for reference
• Training, management, development and team building of team towards maximus performance and job satisfaction
• Assist sales personnel to manage, maximize and upsell business opportunities and customer retention opportunities during the handling process.
• Support and handle Strategic Account's operation if required. Execute client contact and align customer needs and services provided.
• Other tasks and duties as assigned

Applicant's profile

• University education or equivalent
• At least 5 years' experience in a managing role. Extended knowledge of customs. Knowledge of sea freight industry and processes.
• Multi modal knowledge and operational skills
• Good knowledge of computer systems, both exports and invoicing
• Knowledge of customs tariffs and the customers organisation and operations
• Good communication skills both to co-workers and customers, suppliers, etc.
• Financial awareness of the local and global economy and good financial management skills
• Efficient use of time
• Knowledge of service levels expected by clients
• Fluent in local language, as well as English (read, spoken and written), and other language helpful in daily business.
