Job description
Key Responsibilities:
Coordination and super-vising of all transport management activities (FTL, LTL, FCL) within the Benelux countries
Development and ensure adherence for sub regional defined organization, job descriptions/ competencies, standards, processes and tools; inform, train and communicate best practices and business developments to team.
Set up sub regional sourcing strategy to meet the Local, Regional, Global growth targets and satisfy customer expectations.
Support sub regional budget for all overland activities and steer business performance (engage in regular business reviews, review performance against budget and KPIs, agree on potential action plans)
Ensure operational compliance to company and Group procedures regulations.
Provide Monthly reports/updates on market evolution.
Monitor business performances of countries within regions in relation to profit including to FCF, growth targets
Additional thougts and first steps:
Get to know the organization from the inside and explore the corporate identity as well as the targets, expectations and KPI´s in place •
Identify different stakeholders in the region beneficial including to this new function and establish relations with an agile and innovative view
Different case study regarding already existing overland -related activity within Geodis and today's procurement strategy
Extract all existing data from TMS, PowerBI etc. and together with feedback from stakeholders to create a fact driven fundament and include possible verticals
If not already in place make sure a knowledge bank for best practice will get started also with facts regarding new EU mobility package, regulations etc
Describe the costumer journey seen from a road client perspective to meet customer expectations and work with BDM.
Become the natural go to person within the Transport Management / ROAD organization for supervision, coordination of new initiatives and sparring across the region.
Make sure to build a winner attitude in line with the mission and the corporate DNA
