Job description
1. Responsibility for the productivity of his/her operating group, its profitability and key performance indicators, as defined
2. Establishment and further development of a profitable and customer-oriented, high-performance Ocean Freight operational team, able and competent to provide good leadership skills and motivation for the company
3. Ensure that the team follows the guidelines and regulations that apply in the company
4. Responsible for the growth and development of employees within the team, in collaboration with the team leader, as well as executing performance appraisals for his/her area of responsibility
5. Ensuring the flawless operational workflow
6. Compliance with the established and regular communication guidelines to the direct supervisors in all areas of daily work.
7. Development and consolidation of cooperation with overseas agents, own network, suppliers and customers in cooperation with the other departments within Geodis FFW Germany
8. Compliance with quality standards for operational ocean freight processes and their further development when required.
9. Introduction of operational sea freight processes in coordination with the respective supervisor and other process-supporting staff functions.
10. Establishment of efficient customer contacts together with the sales department
Applicant's profile
• Completed forwarding training and experience of supply chain processes, sales, etc.
• Very good MS Office skills
• Communication skills, persuasiveness and are a team player
• Confident knowledge of spoken and written English
- Leadership experience - 3 years in a manager position
