Job description
- Lead a team in processing customs entries and ensure accurate documentation.
- Ensure all import/export entries comply with local customs laws, tariffs, and trade regulations.
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as clearance times, error rates, and productivity to prevent shipment delays.
- Act as the primary escalation point for customs department, clients, and internal logistics teams to resolve discrepancies.
- Identify workflow gaps and implement process enhancements or automation initiatives to increase department efficiency.
- Support and provide internal cross training / knowledge sharing for team members and new joiners.
- Manage and resolve countries' escalated issues in an efficient and timely manner.
- Ensure compliance and regulatory expectations are met within the service delivery scope.
- Other duties as assigned.
Applicant's profile
- Bachelor 's degree or higher in business administration, management, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of working experiences with customs, logistics, export & import or international trade at least 2 years of experiences in managing a team with 3 or more than members.
- An experience in international freight forwarding industry is a must.
- Good Command in English.
- Soft Skills: decision-making, problem-solving and strong communication.
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) experience required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Able to work under pressure. - Experience in Cargo Wise will be advantage.
- Be able to flexible working hours.
