Job description

The Business Development Manager is accountable for the formulation and realization of the business sales strategy of his/her scope and for ensuring the sales processes. Their primary responsibilities include defining and implementing the sales strategy and optimizing the sales performance in compliance with the commercial strategies and policies. They embrace responsibilities within a Region or a Line of Business of various sales profiles, territories or products level under the management of the Sales & Marketing head.

Key Activities / KPI's
Contributing to the commercial strategy and steering the related Go to market
Define and implement the sales play book of his/her scope and ensure the sales processes compliance
Ensure and optimize the sales performance according to Sales strategies and policies
Contribute to the development of the client portfolio by providing support to the Business development and Operational teams
Identify and develop new sales in an assigned territory to meet revenue targets
Identify and develop lasting client relationships, ensuring you have a full understanding of the customer's business and their needs
Prepare and validate the budget process of his/her scope
Manage forecasts and lead/campaign execution
Share qualified sales leads with the network following the Sales Lead Process
Advice and support
Provide expertise, coaching and consulting services to the BD team
Be a specific point of contact to the team performance and their development
Contribute to enhancing and strengthening the robustness of sales policies and procedures
Continually drive for sales process improvement/efficiency, identify and analyze areas for improvement, suggest and implement solutions
Contribute to the growth strategy through pro-active knowledge of assigned territory
Ensure that all commercial aspects of sales transaction are in the best interest of the company
Prepare and/or manage other projects, as required
Contribute to building a strong employer brand
Team management
Manage team scheduling and absences to ensure service cntinuity
Ensure the effective organization of the business development team, define and develop the organizational structure, anticipate and define internal recruitment and mobility needs
Encourage, challenge, motivate and develop the team
Ensure information is disseminated appropriately
Keep up-to-date with any trends and developments in the field
