Job description

Moving goods (with or without pallets) in and out of the truck and within the warehouse according to applicable guidelines manually or by (electronic) aids. The all-round execution of warehouse activities (VAS activities, order picking, labeling, scanning, cleaning, etc.) Focus will be on labeling. Operational management of activities. Result; managing the team in such a way that the determined results are achieved.
-Coordinates and ensures that the work is carried out effectively and efficiently.
- Monitors and guarantees implementation on quantity and quality of work.
- Ensures an optimal working environment as well as a motivated team and ensures compliance with standards and norms.
- Advises the manager with regard to weekly staff planning in accordance with procedures and guidelines
-Performs personnel duties and is involved in the selection and introduction of new employees, gives input to his supervisor for conducting performance and appraisal interviews.Supporting work process. Result; Supporting the work process so that the work process runs efficiently and effectively.
- Indicates deviations or damage when handling the goods and processes them according to procedure.
- Ensures adequate administrative handling and analysis of the KPIs in the warehouse and makes proposals for improvement and after approval ensure implementation
-Solves bottlenecks and problems independently as much as possible, in other cases makes proposals for solving these bottlenecks for the manager.
- Signals, if applicable, deviations from agreed delivery times after office hours.

- Performs technical VAS work, installs software and repairs recurring goods.
- Collects or moves orders, such that the orders are counted, checked for quality and are available on time for further processing.
- Indicates malfunctions and / or damage, remedies and / or repairs these or reports this to the manager.
- Handles incoming goods in accordance with guidelines / procedures.
Unloading and loading goods. Result: Goods unloaded, so that the right goods arrive at the right place in the warehouse on time and the automated system records which goods are at which location. Goods loaded, such that they are loaded according to internal order and unloading order.
- Checks received goods for quality, damage, type and correct quantity on the basis of waybills.
- Place goods in the right place with the aid of a forklift / reach truck.
- Loads, using a forklift / reach truck, goods on the basis of freight documentation (item type, quantity, unloading order, etc.).
- Loads goods according to internal order and unloading order.

Applicant's profile

Job requirements
• MBO work and thinking level.
• Certificate for forklift and reach truck.
• Knowledge of and some experience in the logistics sector.
• Knowledge of loading and unloading procedures.
• Basic knowledge of applied automated (warehouse) systems.
• Prior to the start of the employment, an employee with Dutch nationality must submit a
Declaration Regarding this
Behavior to be given to GEODIS, which is requested on the basis of a profile issued by GEODIS from the municipality in which the employee resides (in most cases digitally). A similar document is required from employees with a nationality other than Dutch nationality, issued by the competent authorities in the country where the employee is registered.
If people work in a site where air freight is being handled (currently the Rotterdam site), this document must be requested and issued every 5 years.
