Job description

As Sustainability Operations Officer you will steer the day-to-day delivery —and long-term evolution— of GEODIS Freight Forwarding's sustainability services. From global emissions reporting and sustainable-fuel certification to supporting bids, you will safeguard operational excellence, accuracy and credibility while driving continuous improvement and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

The position is structured around 3 dimensions: reporting analysis and improvement processes, customer and Business Development team support and internal communication.

Global emissions reporting

Own the monthly CO₂eemissions reporting cycle for Freight Forwarding (including SCO scope).

Ensure data quality, timeliness and compliance with GEODIS standards.

Sustainable Fuel (SAF/SMF) operations

Lead the monthly reporting of Sustainable Aviation Fuel and Sustainable Marine Fuel sales worldwide.

Drive end-to-end certification in partnership with airlines, carriers and certifying bodies.

Coordinate approvals, documentation and payment tracking for ad-hoc SAF/SMF purchases.

Serve as first-line support for commercial teams on data quality, certification and reporting queries.

Continually enhance SAF/SMF workflows and tools to maximise integrity, reliability and scalability.

Service & reporting development

Lead or contribute to cross-functional projects that improve sustainability tools, methodologies and user experience—working with Business Intelligence, Operations and Finance.

Tender & customer support

Provide accurate emissions calculations and sustainability content for tenders, RFQs and customer requests.

Training & engagement

Deliver internal trainings, and knowledge-sharing sessions; presentations to customers.

Communications & knowledge management

Craft clear, engaging presentation decks, release notes and internal information.

Maintain sustainability resources on MyGEODIS, the customer plateform and manage the team's SharePoint site.

Continuous improvement

Monitor best practice, regulatory changes and customer feedback; propose improvements that keep our sustainability offer ahead of the curve.

Applicant's profile

Education

Bachelor's Master's in Environmental Science, Logistics, Business Administration, Economics, Data Analytics, Engineering or similar (or equivalent experience).

Experience

3–5 years in logistics, supply-chain or sustainability operations with strong focus on data-driven reporting and process management.



Skills & Competencies

Data & Analytics: Fluent in gathering, cleansing and analysing operational data (Excel, BI tools)

Accounting & Financial Control: Able to reconcile invoices, track accruals, match certificates to payments.

Customer & Stakeholder Service: Confident answering technical and non-technical questions.

Freight Forwarding Expertise: Working knowledge of global freight forwarding operations and key industry systems.

Continuous-Improvement Mindset: Uses metrics, feedback and root-cause analysis to drive service enhancements.
