Job description

• Manage control tower team to provide AP countries Logistics operation support including import/export brokerage, warehouse, inventory management, local delivery, international, lost and damage etc.
• Drive, implement and manage management strategic intend at AP level
• Refine or re-engineer logistics processes for greater efficiency
• Reviews performance metrics on a regular basis, identifying opportunities for improvement
• Improve measurement reporting using IT tool and analyses data to develop trends for supply and demand activities; articulates findings to management.
• The operation manager is responsible for managing resources, analyzing present procedures and helping to develop and implement new processes and procedures to meet SCO business targets, while ensuring operational excellence for the client.
• Plan and implement cost effective measures and controls. Achieve spending budgets and challenges.
• Communicate impact of new developments on product/processes objectives.
Interface with vendors and customers to resolve maintenance and/or procurement issues.
• Interact with all functions to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Provide guidance and coaching to team members.
• Manage career of team members, identify talents and training needs.
• Deploy Appraisal Campaigns among them.
• Apply HR process: salary reviews, Talent program, etc.

Applicant's profile

• University Degree, specialization in Business Management, Logistic or Supply Chain
• Master Degree is preferred

• Fluent, management business level communication in both verbal and written English and Mandarin
• Other country local language is a plus.

Essential Skills and abilities:
• Demonstrated strong understanding of supply chain and logistics processes (plan, source, make, deliver).
• Strong leadership, communication and analytical skills with proven capabilities in influencing, negotiating, planning and coordinating and relationship building
• Continuous improvement experience focused on productivity, quality, cost reduction, experience in LEAN or Six Sigma implementation is preferred
• Demonstrated strong business acumen and technical knowledge within area of responsibility.
• Challenge status quo, “think-out-of-box”, embrace changes
• Developed strong understanding of import/export regulatory requirements and compliance
• Strong ability in managing remote team, and fulfil domestics business travel cross cities.

Experience (specify minimum periods):
• 3 - 5 years of related experience in a Logistic or Supply Chain function.
• 2 years and above experience in people management, preferably experience in managing people from other country
• 3 years above working experience in operation or account management
• 3 years above working experience in a multicultural environment
