Operational activities - Freight Administration
Job description
Sea and Air Export
Arrange export freight services for customers, aligned with customer's freight management needs and in line with SOP's, Flow Charts, GW and industry policies and procedures, in order to ensure customer satisfaction.
Review customer's freight requests / orders
Ensure and co-ordinate receipt of all required documentation
Submit bookings of shipments to shipping lines, NVOCC's, specific authorities where required and transporters
Coordinate customs clearance – framing of export entries
Ensure that all documents - SI's – are submitted timely to all relevant parties
Ensure all required documents are issued timely for shipments
Monitor stack dates / container closing dates
Ensure pre-alert documents are send to all respective parties timely
Request all charges for the shipment and ensure payments are made
Invoice the file within the required time frames
Follow up on vessel departure, vessel voyage and arrival at destination
Execute client contact and align customer needs and services provided
Administration
Gather documents and information, process and set-up files and ensure proper handover of files and documentation, in line with GEODIS and industry policies and procedures, in order to ensure proper administration of files and enable a clear overview of operational activities.
