Für die GEODIS EUROPE in Frankfurt am Main oder Hamburg suchen wir zum nächstmöglichen Zeitpunkt einen Legal Counsel (m/w/x)!

Job description

• Prüfung, Ausarbeitung und Verhandlung von deutschen und internationalen Verträgen in einem breiten Spektrum an Fallkonstellationen und Themenbereichen,
• Identifizierung und Bewertung von rechtlichen Risiken im Zusammenhang mit Vertragsabschlüssen sowie Erarbeitung von Handlungsempfehlungen,
• Ausarbeitung und Aktualisierung von Musterverträgen,
• Unterstützung bei Schadensfällen und Versicherungsangelegenheiten sowie Überwachung der Datenerfassung,
• Unterstützung des General Counsel der Region EUROPE im Tagesgeschäft, vor allem in der DACH-Subregion,
• Unterstützung bei der Konzeption, Vorbereitung und Durchführung von Schulungen,
• Pflege der juristischen Datenbanken,
• Optimierung der Prozesse in der regionalen Rechtsabteilung.

• Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating German and international contracts across a wide range of situations and subject matters,
• Identifying and assessing legal risks related to contract conclusions and preparation of recommended courses of action,
• Drafting and updating contract templates,
• Managing contract review process,
• Supporting claims and insurance matters, as well as monitoring data collection,
• Supporting the General Counsel of EUROPE Region in day-to-day business, especially in the DACH Sub-Region,
• Assisting with the design, preparation, and delivery of trainings,
• Maintaining legal databases,
• Optimizing processes within the Regional Legal Department.

Applicant's profile

• Eine juristische Qualifikation nach deutschem Recht ist zwingende Voraussetzung,
• 3-5 Jahre Berufserfahrung in der Logistik- und Transportindustrie oder einem vergleichbaren Bereich,
• Fundierte Kenntnisse des deutschen Zivil- und Handelsrechts, Erfahrung auf dem Gebiet des internationalen Rechts,
• Deutsch- und sehr gute Englischkenntnisse,
• Fundierte Kenntnisse im Vergaberecht oder Bereitschaft sich diese anzueignen,
• Souveränes Navigieren in einem internationalen Arbeitsumfeld dank hervorragender Kommunikationsfähigkeiten und einer kooperativen Einstellung,
• Freude am Umgang mit vielfältigen Rechtsfragen und an der Beratung von Fachabteilungen der Unternehmensgruppe,
• Sicherer Umgang mit Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point).

• Fully qualified lawyer and completed law degree in Germany is mandatory,
• Several years of professional experience in the logistics and transport industry or a comparable field,
• In-depth knowledge of German civil and commercial law; experience in international law,
• Fluent German and very good English skills,
• Strong knowledge of procurement law or willingness to acquire it,
• Confident navigation in an international work environment thanks to excellent communication skills and a cooperative attitude,
• Enjoyment in dealing with a variety of legal issues and advising the company's business units,
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
