Job description

• You handle complex tenders comprising all transportation modes by capturing customer requirements, create customer solutions and prepare customized proposals
• You lead regional projects from RFIs to RFQs and contract award incl. leading internal meetings as well as managing project documentation by following the commercial policy
• You lead the tender process in the region by proactive communication and collaboration with product and pricing managers [Air, Ocean, Rail, Customs]
• You analyse volume data and provide analytical support for pricing and revenue overviews
• You ensure high quality of proposals by transforming the standardized internally used files into respective customer documents
• You optimize the tender at every stage of the process
• You contribute to the continuous improvement program of the global and regional tender process and the automated tender tool
• You train country tender teams regularly

Applicant's profile

• You have completed a bachelor's degree or above in logistics / business development or an equivalent discipline
• You have gained at least five years of professional experience with managing / leading tenders in the freight forwarding industry, knowledge of the Eastern European market is a plus
• You have deep knowledge of project management principles
• You ideally already have practical knowledge within logistics/SCM and process optimization
• You ideally know the LEAN principles
• You are fluent in English and German, both written and verbally
• You are able to see the bigger picture as well as the details
• You have strong expertise in comprehending and analysing business processes
• You provide a skillful and confident use of the MS Office suite (e. g. Excel, Sharepoint, Teams, PowerPoint etc.)
