Description de la mission
Job objectives
You will be responsible for developing the skills and knowledge at GEODIS, related to Managerial and Soft skills.
Through the process of developing critical skills and helping people to reach their potential, you will help to build employee satisfaction, which makes it easier for GEODIS to attract and retain an engaged workforce. This also contributes to building the company culture, thus reaching our business objectives.
This entails
• Teaching skills and knowledge to employees
• Creating learning modules : needs assessment, sourcing of service providers, co-design or in house design, evaluation
• Assessing or measuring the results of various training programs, and adjusting them accordingly
• Conducting collective training or workshops, in person and virtual
• Conducting individual or collective coaching where required
• Assisting employees in the process of developing their performance, taking part in organizational development and change programs
Major tasks:
• Conducting classroom training, in person and virtual, to diverse and multi-cultural audiences
• Partnering in the design and development of future learning solutions, at all steps of the process
• Evaluating the outcome of training sessions and making adjustments where necessary
• Researching and sourcing training materials to continuously enhance content
• Improving training processes
• Maintaining accurate record of trainee progress and achievements
• Overseeing and monitoring training costs against budgets
• Adapt teaching methods to audience's needs (multi-cultural, level of experience, etc.)
• Growing or assisting our internal trainers' community
• Participating in leadership assessment and coaching on a need's basis
• Assessing training and development needs across the organisation
Profil du candidat
Profil du candidat (expérience, savoir-faire, savoir être…)
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to understand problems,
convey ideas, and conduct training, as well as write reports
• Sound knowledge of adult based learning principles, to be able to design or co design effective training programs
• Several years of professional experience in a management position
• Business acumen, interest in business management
• Demonstrated ability to build relationship, and adept at interpersonal connections that inspire trust and confidence with a wide variety of people
• Creative and innovative thinking, to keep things fresh to hold trainees' attention, and adjust
to their learning style
• Mastery of various training methods, including self-study, group instruction, lecture format,
demonstrations, simulation exercise, role play, digital challenges...
• Well-developed administrative skills, to manage training programs efficiently, including
sessions, budgets and data analysis
• Ability to work on multiple projects while managing deadlines
• Mastery of digital facilitation tools, including various apps and LMS
• Coaching and DISC certifications are a plus
• Fluency in English is mandatory – French and other Languages would be a plus
